Announcing the 2016-17 season of the Pensacola Symphony - celebrating Maestro Peter Rubardt's 20th season with the orchestra.
The Masterworks series features two Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalists, Alexander Kobrin in November, and Jon Nakamatsu in January for our annual audience favorite, ‘Beethoven & Blue Jeans’. In March, the orchestra will take on the massive Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 with special guests Susan Platts, the UWF Women’s Chorus, and the Pensacola Children’s Chorus with over 100 musicians on stage. The Pops Series is as festive as ever with our annual ‘Celebrate the New Year’ on New Year’s Eve – this year, featuring jazz trombonist, Wycliffe Gordon. In February, we’ll enjoy our favorite music of John Williams in concert with ‘Movie Music of John Williams’.
